Old Vet
Old Vet was born in 1926 in Pecos, Texas. He is a seven year Army veteran, having served in the Horse Cavalry, Mechanized Cavalry, and as a Criminal Investigator, Counter Subversive Agent and winding up as an Artillery Observer in Korea. He served in World War II, Korea and four years of Cold War in Europe between shooting wars. After discharge from the Army in late 1951, he worked in West Texas on a ranch, as an oil field rough-neck, and in the construction business. The next 35 years were spent in the construction business in Dallas, Texas for various companies as an Estimator, Construction Manager, General Manager and Company Vice President.
His hobbies are hunting, fishing and Tae Kwon Do. He has the distinction of being the oldest man in the history of the World Tae Kwon Do Union to earn the rank of Second Dan Black Belt. He retired at age 67 and now lives on acreage near Winnsboro in East Texas. He is married, has three children, and between himself and his wife, has eleven grand-children.
